Artist's Description
President Obama not only stands for what can be right in America, but what might be right for international relations without war. It's hard, we can't feed everyone, but we can be glad that this president has taken steps to feed some of us here at home. The Food Stamp President? How funny is that, when hard working citizens are out of work in this difficult economy? I just know that this president has done some interesting steps towards helping the unemployed and those without health care or other barriers to medical services. I am not particularly political, I try to follow issues on all sides. Nevertheless, President Obama has a certain energy, a certain appeal, and he will be a part of the American story forever. This was painted when Obama was President Elect. My vision was to represent the conviction that the ideas of this man's campaign were not just a background of empty words. About Suzanne Giuriati Cerny
Biography and Artist statement: I have made available a collection of live sketches and oil paintings of jazz musicians, live in-performance and from photographs. For more information on my jazz related portraits and sketches and paintings, please see www.behance.net/art3fcc www.behance.net/art3fcc My art practice took many turns over the years 1960-2020. At the present time, I am experimenting with non-objective expressionism, rethinking early training through abstract designs. I'm encouraged by an art enthusiast and architect who has been a mentor and an art enthusiast in my life.. I began to work in oils in Cooper Union In the 1960's. After graduation, instead of taking my BA in art at Yale, (my scholarship to Cooper...

They...de old Obama´s fans...are turning away from him now. No one is happy with anything..but I guess he has meant a lot for that country and hope that that "greening" will be there nurturing your hopes...and why not ours as well. The colour you have used is pure "Viriditas " too. Intense and daring. May be you have been inspired by the symbolic meaning of the colour in this case, or rather by the "faded and softly teinted black" skin colour of the president...Anyway it is excelent. Rosa

Rosa, as I re read your comment, I appreciate it all the more. I have been studying Italian, but here in America it is a luxury to meet with people conversing in Italian, usually in order to travel to Italy. I am finding it more of a necessity to study Spanish now. I love this photo of you. Thank you for your comment from Bilbao.
