Artist's Description

"Bouch" is a French word meaning "mouth". Taken from an historic photograph, this small painting of Dizzy Gillespie is rendered in oil on canvas. The musician, Dizzy, is showing the children, in front of a large crowd of interested people, how to position the bottom lip to form the correct position for playing the trumpet.
