Artist's Description

Karin Allyson was present at a performance in Santa Barbara when I lived there in 1996. Karin graciously permitted me to sketch her portrait from one of her advertising photos. The work is on gray pastel paper by Canson Mi Tientes, and is drawn using vine charcoal and compressed charcoal with a blender, and highlighted with white pastel.
